Online theory before course day
As soon as you book, you'll get access to your online learning portal. Work through the theory of TLILIC0003 in your own time — most people finish in a few hours.

In-person theory recap (from 8am)
A face-to-face recap of the key theory — ask questions, clarify anything from your online learning, and get confident before the forklift.

Focused one-on-one seat time
Max 4 students per course — the same hands-on seat time as a longer 2–3 day course, without the downtime of a bigger group.

Formal assessment (from midday)
Demonstrate your skills one student at a time. Most courses finish between 2pm and 4:30pm depending on group size.

Extra training if required
Before your first practical assessment, one extra training session may be offered if the trainer decides you are not yet ready. If additional training is required after an unsuccessful practical assessment, it is $300 per session.

Course requirements
Minimum age
18 years or older on the day of training and assessment.
Language & literacy
Sufficient English reading, writing and comprehension to complete the theory and assessment.
Identification
Three (3) forms of ID on the day.
Physical capability & safety
Physically capable of safely operating a forklift and able to follow all safety instructions.
Pre-course
Online theory completed before course day · a valid USI · closed-in shoes and suitable clothing (hi-vis recommended).
